Back to files

ecp (extended cp) is intended to be a feature rich version of the coreutils tool cp. Currently it is far from portable, far from optimal, and far from being very feature rich.

What it does do is the following:

  • display progress indication as it copies, either on a per file basis, or a total progress indication
  • copy to and from ftp's (only single files at the moment), resuming if the download breaks and the server supports it
  • works like ``mv'' with the proper command line switches enabled (with the -k or --kill command line switch, "kills" the files after copying them)

All comments or contributions are more than welcome. The author can be reached at areffhaug@gmail.com.

This project is written in C, using no other dependencies than the standard libraries found under the GNU/Linux operating system. It is free for all that take interest in it.
