REMITT for Debian

You might like to test the scripts in the directory

/usr/share/remitt/test

if you are having issues working with REMITT.

Packages for Debian stable/testing are available if you add the following line:

deb http://apt.freemedsoftware.com/debian woody fsf

to your /etc/apt/sources.list file. There are also Debian packages for FreeMED provided by the FreeMED Software Foundation. It is planed to move FreeMED to the official Debian mirror but this transition step is work in process.
