Basic strategy
Some of these hints work only for dwarves.
- Build blacksmith first. And then make axes research. Before it is ready, you should have guard tower built.
- Note that you can make building train 18 units in the same time.
- You should have some much workers that you don't need to wait resources (20-40 is good amount).
- Try developing your technology fast. Using 2 blacksmiths is good way.
- Put ranged units behind melee-units.
- Advanced warriors and heroes are really powerful. They will turn the fight.
- Ballista has ultimate range and damage. Be careful.
- You can cheat AI by putting worker between you and AI. It will attack it.
- Research as fast as possible. Again, as fast as possible.
- If you can build heroes, build them! Crossbowman hero, for example, has great damage and its range is 28.
Known problems
- Game crashes when trying to start campaign. Try loading mission by going campaigns/dwarves/ in map selection-dialog. Then select "Stratagus scenario (cm)" in Type-combobox and select [mission].cm
